So, back to America, back to work, back to things getting back to normal… kinda. Sorta.

I’ve been back for a month, and just now shaking off the last of the haze of my Japan trip. With the Thanksgiving holiday thrown in there, plus working a day of it, things got a little confusing again. I still work the 4 day x 10 hours/day shift, but next month I switch back to 5 x 8 (Mon-Fri). The reason is that I don’t mind staying after an hour here or there on a weekday, but the 3-day weekends where I have to work for 3-5 hours anyway because I need to hand work over to be done on Mon-Tues are burning me out a little; the fact that I work HARD for four days with no play, then PLAY HARD for three days with little work… that’s burning me out the most.

I’ve got a lot of vacation time saved; I think next month I’ll be taking off a week or so sometime, and do nothing more than read books, surf the web, play games and chill out. Maybe visit Asheville, because it’s nice there this time of year. Something that doesn’t cost a lot of money, either.

This next month is going to be interesting; Definitely in the “Holiday Zone”, so I’ll probably be distracted on all sides by things like the days ending early, thinking about gifts for friends and family, thinking about holiday cards and the like, and so on. Anyway, it’s time to catch up with some friends that I haven’t talked to for a while, like the Three Mikes: Mike M, S and S. Or some of my friends in Japan; now that I’m back, I want to keep in touch with them a little more regularly.

Kind of a blathering, meaningless post here, but I just wanted to get back in the game. Tonight is milk tea, anime and CounterStrike, tomorrow is selling stuff on eBay and writing, reading. Wednesday the work week cycle begins again.
